I think that’s something that needs to be done in the drag community. However, I think this photoseries is a bit misleading…teetering the line of offensive. As a former drag queen, I remember my first time in drag like it was yesterday. It was a defining moment in my life, not a moment to take a myriad of ridiculous selfies…although I did take a few. This series (so far) perpetuated the stereotype that drag is a joke, something silly gays do when they’re bored. Drag is so much more than that! I’d love to see this photographer do a series of guys really taking that leap of courage to be a fabulous drag queen for a night, not take part in a high schooler’s Photobooth session.
