January 2010 marks the second annual National Drag History Month, according to Logo.com.
The Logo network apparently created the event, which “salutes the richness of drag culture and pays tribute to the courageous queens and kings who have fought for equality while inspiring, educating and entertaining us all.”
International Drag Day is the self-proclaimed wrap-up to the celebrating, although organizers are not affiliated with Logo and the event occurs months afterward on July 16, 2010.
Logo plans to run month-long programming about drag performance, while featuring several videos on its Web site at http://www.draghistorymonth.com.
