Even amongst minorities, discrimination and fear exists. That’s the topic at “Homophobia in the Black Community.”

The hour long discussion dealing with the unfair prejudice some blacks give to gays and lesbians will be lead by Dr. Amoaba Gooden, who specializes in gender and sexuality at Kent State.

The event, co-sponsored by PRIDE! Kent and Black United Students, will be held Thursday, Feb. 18, 7:30 p.m. in room 310A of the Kent Student Center.
