VERMONT – An ex- gay mother has a warrant for her arrest for not giving up custody of her daughter to her former partner.
Lisa Miller renounced she was gay in 2004 and dismissed the couple’s relationship. She claimed she was no longer gay and called it a sin because she became an evangelical Christian.
After terminating the civil union the pair shared, she was issued custody since she was the child’s biological mother. After Miller refused her partner, Janet Jenkins, visitation the judge reversed the order and found Miller in contempt of court.
She did not show up to hand over her daughter to Jenkins and now. Her attorney has no idea of her location, but hopes she follows the through with judge’s orders.
