We all know, or most of us do, that the Westboro Baptist Church has been staging anti-gay protests at the funerals of fallen soldiers. “The church-goers” sees a tie between the dead soldiers and homosexuality, and has taken it upon themselves to let the whole world know. For the record, anyone who thinks it is okay to protest at a funeral, disturbing those who wish to mourn in peace, should punch themselves repeatedly in the face.
After the “church-goers” crashed the funeral of the fallen Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder, they were sued by the soldier’s father. According to E! Online, a court ruling awarded the family $5 million from the anti-gay group because of emotional distress. Of course the church couldn’t have that! Fred Phelps, the founder of this anti-gay organization, decided to appeal the ruling and have the case heard by the Supreme Court.
On Wednesday, when the case was being heard, the church-goers played Ozzy Osbournes ‘Crazy Train.’ The Prince of Darkness, was none too happy about that.
“I am sickened and disgusted by the use of ‘Crazy Train’ to promote messages of hate and evil by a ‘church,'” Ozzy told E! Online. You should know you have done something truly awful when you have Ozzy Osbourne talking about you. For Phelps two daughters, who were the ones who quoted the song by saying, “You’re going straight to hell on your crazy train.” I think you should look in the mirror and say that.
