Iraqis seeking asylum in some European countries turned away illegally

Amnesty International released a report today accusing several European countries of turning away asylum seekers illegally, Towleroad.com reports.

The agency blamed England, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden for repatriating Iraqi refugees seeking asylum when the state of their homeland was in tumult, the report states.

Among those returned illegally, Amnesty International’s report stated, were gays and Christians.
