We're Working to Serve You Better

Welcome to ThatGayMagazine.com, Fusion magazine's new online home. Get the scoop on our new Web site and how we're planning to better serve you this semester. Also, follow us at twitter.com/thatgaymagazine.com or become a fan of the magazine at facebook.com/thatgaymagazine.

Welcome to ThatGayMagazine.com, Fusion magazine’s new online home.

This semester, one of my top goals was to rapidly develop Fusion’s online presence. In 2009, our Web site and social media pages are the best way to both share the latest LGBT news locally and nationally and engage you, our readers, in an ongoing and developing discussion about developments in issues relating to the community.

Until last week, it had been two years since Fusion magazine had an online form. And even when we did, we only updated the Web site at the end of the semester by republishing all the content in our bi-annual print edition. That attitude toward the Web was stuck in the middle of the ’90s, and we realized better serving you meant dedicating resources to making ThatGayMagazine.com a destination for LGBT news and information.

So what can you expect from us? Beginning tomorrow, our Web reporters will start compiling and posting news updates twice a day — once around noon and once later in the evening. We’ll watch the headlines coming out and give you a digest of the stories you may have missed but definitely need to know about. Also, Fusion editors will be blogging the most interesting daily distractions we come across, providing commentary on everything from big breaking news to the obscure findings aiming to create a unique blend of news and culture to keep you informed.

We’re building our new Web site from the ground up, and we can’t do it alone. ThatGayMagazine.com is only as good as you want it to be, so talk back. Leave comments, share links and tweet your reactions. We’re on Twitter and Facebook too. Follow us at twitter.com/thatgaymagazine and become a fan of Fusion magazine at facebook.com/thatgaymagazine.

So look around, and be sure to come back tomorrow morning. To be added to our weekly mailing list, e-mail us here.

And if you have any comments or questions about ThatGayMagazine.com or Fusion magazine, please e-mail me here.

Thanks for visiting,

Adam Griffiths
Fusion editor
