27 students were expelled in response to the two girls that we caught kissing according to reports. It was also reported that many students were involved. The dormitory that was shut down held up to 300 students, which is located in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal region.
Many other groups claim that the school overreacted, including Childline CEO Dumisile Nala.
“Expelling children or anyone for such a reason is discriminatory and our Constitution states it clearly that people should not be discriminated against because of their sexual orientation,” said Nala.
