SAN FRANCISCO – An ACLU attorney took action Monday against an  instructor from a community college in Fresno, California. According  to The Chicago Tribune, Bradley Lopes, the professor allegedly used the Bible as a resource proving that birth started at conception and homosexuality was a mental illness.

If the students’ descriptions are correct, Lopez’s teaching methods violate California’s law protecting gays from discrimination and prohibiting religious indoctrination at public schools, said Elizabeth Gill, the UCLA attorney.

Lopez taught Health Science I. The class entails medical information dealing with sexuality; explaining his arrival to the topic in the class.
