Hundreds assembled in Austin, Texas, Saturday to protest a string of anti-gay hate crimes, reported Austin’s KVUE television.
Up to 1,000 protestors retraced the trail of two gay men who were attacked last weekend, according to The Statesman.com.
Police Chief Art Acevedo pushed the crowd to request high-resolution cameras be installed, as the ones that captured the initial attack were too grainy to discern.
The attack that spurred the march occurred Feb. 20, when four men followed and assaulted two gay men after they left a bar.
