
A California appeals court ruled anti-gay threats posted on a student’s Web site are not protected by the First Amendment, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
The appellate court, in a 2-1 vote, stated the language of the posts contained a harmful intent, which is not protected by free speech laws, the article continued.
After finding the posts on his Web site, the 15-year-old boy whose Web site was targeted’s family moved him to an undisclosed location in Northern California as a result of the presumed threats.
