Recently Charlottesville City Council in Virginia passed anti-discrimination polices for state employees in order to prevent discrimination based on prospective employees’ sexual orientation.
Council member David Brown said the local representatives of the gay rights advocate group Equality Virginia supported the resolution, according to the article posted by The Cavalier Daily.
The resolution will also be sent as a proposal to the Virginia General Assembly this year.
