Cheesecake Factory to pay $345K in harassment case

The Cheesecake Factory Inc. will pay a settlement of $345,000 dollars in response to a lawsuit over sexual harassment between male employees

The well-known restaurant chain The Cheesecake Factory Inc. is being sued over sexual harassment charges of male employees harassing other male employees, according to an article by the Associated Press.

The Cheesecake Factory Inc. in Chandler Arizona has agreed to pay $345,000 in order to settle the federal lawsuit. The U.S Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced the settlement Tuesday and has also included that the company should train its employees and managers about how to avoid and deal with sexual harassment.

The lawsuit itself states that the managers knew about the sexual harassment that was going on between six male employees and a group of male kitchen staffers and did nothing to stop it.
