Kent State University College Democrats and local drag entertainers took over Bowman Hall late Tuesday night in a Drag Out the Vote drag show. The event showcased local talents and encouraged students to get out there on election day.
Kent queen Comatose hosted the show with fiery jokes and enthusiasm. “Doesn’t this make you wanna vote and get drag not restricted?” they said to the audience.
In addition to Comatose, Carmen La’Shon-Dupree, Monica Mod, Eugenia, Marquis Gaylor, Cabaretta and Lex Vanderbite performed. The organization didn’t just invite entertainers though. Local political candidates also appeared at the event to speak about their passions within the community.
