Equality Across American is offering a taste of good deals for those traveling to Washington, D.C. for the October march.

The organization has secured flight, train and hotel discounts for the National Equality March Oct. 10-11.

 American Airlines and Delta/Northwest airlines are offering flight discounts 5 percent off regular fees, Amtrak is offering a 10 percent discount on trains booked for Washington, D.C.

The National Equality March is also partnering with Madison Hotel for lodging discounts during the march and includes use of free public space.

The national march is meant to show support of continuing change in all 50 states for equal rights to all, including LGBT people. Their main interest and single hope is to strive for “equal protection in all matters governed by civil law in all 50 states.”

According to their Web site, Equality Across America is a network of decentralized organizers in every one of the 435 congressional districts. These groups work toward national equality and participating in their local and state issues fighting for equal rights such as marriage, adoption and work-place discrimination. Equality Across America works together for LGBT equality in every race, class, faith and community.

The travel discounts and accommodations end Sept. 21. There are other lodging deals that have also been secured.
