While gay rights are gaining focus in societies world-wide, the conversation of gender neutrality is a far less prevalent topic.

A big step towards gender equality was taken as Norrie May-Welby  of Australia was officially declared a ‘neuter’, or legally genderless person.

May-Welby’s goal is not to create a separate gender, but rather to create a genderless identity. Activists hope that the world will gain more understanding about the concept of  someone who does not define themselves as male nor female.
