A second place prize winning softball team was disqualified two years ago after it was discovered that three of players on the team were “non-gay.”
The three San Fransico bay bisexual men now are suing the North American Amateur Softball League for emotion distress after the three men claimed they were interrogated about their sexual preference by league officials after an opposing team complained that the team was not gay enough.
The National Center for Lesbian Rights is representing the three bisexual men who are asking for $75,000 each.
“This case is just about treating everybody in the community equally … and not interrogating folks about whether they’re gay enough to play,” Melanie Rowan, the attorney representing the three men, told the New York Daily News.
