From Vietnam comes Adrift (Choi Voi), the story of a recently-married woman torn between diverging love interests. Her husband hasn’t consummated the relationship and apparently lacks interest, which leads her into the arms of her best girlfriend who harbors a secret desire for her. Instead of acting on that desire, however, the girlfriend pushes the wife into an affair with suitor who awakens within the wife something she never had before.

Leo’s Room (El Cuarto de Leo) is not only the location of the protagonist’s dwelling, but also his inner turmoil. Following the breakup from his girlfriend, Leo hires a therapist and begins his search for a companion online. But when he meets a childhood friend, new feelings emerge that may answer the question as to why he lives reclusively within his room and why he never came out before.

Showtimes couldn’t immediately be found, but check the student center billboards for more information. The film festival runs November 1 – December 31.
