In response to all the speculation surrounding the sudden bird deaths in Arkansas, a self proclaimed “prophet” has given us the most rational response: God is killing these birds as a protest against the DADT repeal.
Cindy Jacobs, a minister of Generals International, said in a video sermon, “It could be because we have said it’s okay for people who commit these kinds of acts to be recognized in our military for the first time in our history, there is a potential that there is something that actually happened in the land where a hundred thousand drum fish died and also where these birds just fell out of the air.”
In the same video, Jacobs said, “According to biblical principles, marriage is between a man and a woman, so we have to say ‘what happens when a nation makes a decision that’s against God’s principles?’ Well, often what happens is that nature itself will begin to talk to us.” She also goes on to blame President Bill Clinton as well saying that it is happening in Arkansas because he was the governor there.
First of all, it’s hard to take someone seriously when they’re dressed in a trashy purple cheetah print blazer that looks like they be-dazzled it themselves, especially a prophet. Her hair looks like an animal died on her head so for her to be pointing fingers at people for killing animals, she should take a long hard look in the mirror. Secondly, if animals were going to off themselves for something that Bill Clinton had a hand in, we would see an even higher rate of animal suicide (adultery is also a sin, according to the Ten Commandments which Cindy’s religion holds dear.) Third, the woman is obviously crazy. Case and point: she thinks animals are speaking to her. The list could go on and on…
Is the recent winter weather a reaction from nature to the shootings in Arizona? Do the trees lose their leaves in the fall because of the Pro-Life/Pro-Choice battle? No. Nature doesn’t care that much.
Cindy and Generals International have gained a lot of attention for these quotes. Anderson Cooper even added her his “Ridicu-list.”
My message to Cindy Jacobs: stop saying stupid shit. I know you may believe it deep down in your heart, but you sound like an idiot to the rest of us.
