Gays were honored last Sunday in a Holocaust remembrance ceremony in Gainsville, Fla., the Advocate reports.

Keynote speaker Geoffrey Giles, who visited Kent State last September, planned to contrast Jewish and gay experiences, the article stated.

Coordinators at B’nai Israel Jewish Center said recent homophobia in the mayoral race and anti-gay attacks prompted the exhibit.
