Expect to see Lady Gaga marching beside supporters at the National Equality March in Washington, D.C. this weekend.
Gaga announced at a late-night fundraiser this weekend she will be attending the march, according to a blog on Towleroad. She expressed her support and encouragement for others to attend the march during the fundraiser. She also spoke after her appearance and performance on Saturday Night Live, boosting morale for the march.
“Next week is the gay pride march, and I know that I’m going to be there marching with all of you,” Gaga said in an article on Advocate.com. “I really believe in this cause, and as a woman in pop music, I think that this is really an important weekend, and it’s not a f—— joke. So get your a—- to D.C. and wear something fabulous, and I’ll see you guys there.”
The National Equality March will take place in Washington, D.C. from Oct. 10-11.
