Unlike the rest of her graduating class, Ceara Sturgis never got a senior portrait in her yearbook.
The name and photo of the lesbian high school senior was cut from her yearbook for wearing a tuxedo after school administrators advised her to wear a dress.
“It’s like she’s nobody there, even though she’s gone to school there for 12 years,” Sturgis’ mother, Veronica Rodriguez told the Jackson Free Press. “… They’ve got kids in the book that have been busted for drugs. There’s even a picture of one of the seniors who dropped out of school.”
