Million-selling album Christian singer comes out as lesbian

Christian singer Jennifer Knapp left music for a hiatus in Australia’s outback before finding herself and returning to music, according to the Advocate.

Knapp, 33, sold over a million records while receiving several Dove awards, which honors achievements in Christian music, told the Advocate “I’m quite comfortable to live with parts of myself that don’t make sense to you,” referring to being both Christian and gay.

Her newest album, “Letting Go,” releases May 11, according to her Web site. You can download two of her songs here.
