WASHINGTON D.C. — A study of militaries currently allowing openly gay persons to serve states a speedy repeal would not disrupt operations, according to the New York Times.
The Palm Center, part of the University of California, Santa Barbara, released the study today, which is in direct opposition to some Pentagon officials who are requesting “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” be mitigated over several years, according to the Times.
“Gays in Foreign Militaries 2010: A Global Primer,” as the study is called, suggests foreign gay servicemen and woman are integrated within several months and are generally extended the same benefits as offered by same-sex marriage laws.
