
The first openly gay man to run for U.S. Senate from Oregon announced his campaign today at the capital of Salem, according to JustOut.com.
Marc Delphine, a financial planner from the Portland suburbs, plans to run as a Libertarian while emphasizing a campaign of “individual liberty, personal responsibility and equal opportunity,” according to the initial news report.
Delphine is open to gay marriage, non-discrimination policies and personal responsibility. “I will never vote on any bill that would infringe upon your freedoms,” Delphine said on his Web site.
