Pride! Kent presents a Silent Performance

PRIDE! Kent is trying something more ambitious this year to visually engage students on the discrimination LGBTQ students face in schools.

The Day of Silence is typically a day when students, LGBTQ or not, walk silently throughout their normal Friday day verbalizing with no one. The silence brings to attention the many students who fear being attacked or harassed for their gender identity, sexual orientation or gender expression.

PRIDE! Kent, Kent State University’s LGBT student organization, is trying something more ambitious this year to visually engage students on the discrimination LGBTQ students face in schools.
