The trial began today in municipal court against four bar employees and four dancers, after last year’s raid when they were accused of violating city ordinances, according to Advocate.com

The raid last fall after suspected drug activity and prostitution.  Bar customers accuse the officers of using antigay slurs and force that was not necessary.

“The employees face business license charges, while the dancers are accused of providing adult entertainment without a license,” as reported by The Journal-Constitution. There are 10 witnesses that are expected to show up in court to testify.

Each violation carries a maximum penalty of 6 months in jail and a 1,000 dollar fine, if convicted.
