After helping draft a law against discrimination in 2007, a transgendered women, Dana Beyer, decides to sue her country because of  claims of the county’s ethic commission breaking the law created, as reported by Advocate.com.

Beyer had hoped to eliminate discrimination based on gender identity. However, the county broke the law created by conduction an investigation of her, according to The Associated Press.

She was investigated because a group that opposed the law felt she used her position and authority assisting county councilwomen Duchy Trachtenberg to frighten bill opponents.

Beyer is suing the county for $5 million however, spokesman Patrick Lacefield said her accusations have no advantage and it is likely the judge will dismiss the case.
