A Vatican spokesperson equated homosexuality to pedophilia Monday in the wake of papal scandals, according to Towleroad.com.
Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, aka the second pope, said at a press conference in Chile, “… I have been told recently, that there is a relation between homosexuality and pedophilia. That is true. That is the problem,” according to an AP translation.
Bertone suggested the scandals plaguing the Catholic church of late are not related to celibacy issues within the church but to homosexuality, according to the Towleroad.com report.
