Who here does not know of the amazing Golden Girl, Betty White? If you don’t, you really must educate yourself to this old school comedian. Betty White is unlike most of the older generation. She is for gay marriage, while a lot of people from her generation oppose it. Well, at least those elders from where I’m from do. Even when the 88-year-old comedic legend was on the Golden Girls, she was pro gay rights. I for one think it’s great that she isn’t just an old stick in the mud.
“I don’t care who anybody sleeps with. If a couple has been together all that time—and there are gay relationships that are more solid than some heterosexual ones—I think it’s fine if they want to get married. I don’t know how people can get so anti-something. Mind your own business, take care of your affairs, and don’t worry about other people so much.” Betty white told parade magazine. Maybe if everyone thought like Betty, there wouldn’t be so much chaos going on the world. People would be free to marry who the wish, regardless of gender. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all viewed things like Betty? I think it would.
