Adam Lambert performs at GLADD Media Awards

Openly gay Adam Lambert sang at the GLADD Media Awards, an organization that has advocated for LGBT music artists.

Adam Lambert sang two songs at the 21st Annual GLADD Media Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday.

“GLAAD has advocated for out music artists, including myself, and I am proud to be part of the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards this year,” Lambert said in a statement. “GLAAD’s work to share stories that grow acceptance and understanding about the gay and transgender community is so important in our culture today.”

Candis Cayne, a transgender actress, and openly gay Wilson Cruz hosted the show.

Lambert performed Fever and Music Again, two songs from his album For Your Entertainment.

According to On Top Magazine, the GLAAD Media Awards recognize excellence in 41 categories including newspaper content, syndicated columnists and comic books. Awards are being rolled out in a series of ceremonies. The program’s final show is scheduled for June 5 in San Francisco.
