A gay dating site is claiming that CBS denied its air slot for Super Bowl XLIV because of its gay-oriented content.
ManCrunch.com, a dating site targeted to gay men, tried to buy an ad slot but was denied after CBS told the company it had no more room, a ManCrunch spokesman told the New York Post.
“It’s clearly a form of discrimination that we’re getting the runaround, that we’re not being told the truth,” Dominic Friesen, the ManCrunch spokesman said. “Quite frankly, there is a lot of ad space available — a lot of the companies that typically advertise during the Super Bowl are not advertising this year.”
