A 90,000-square-foot gay resort is scheduled to open in New York City fall 2011.

The Out NYC, operated by Axel Hotels,  will provide a luxury getaway for less than $300, and the developers hope to create an accepting atmosphere where all are welcome.

“Here we hope to be more of a true hetero-friendly complex — a gay environment where straight friends and family are welcome to come and enjoy our fun too,” said Ian Reisner of Parkview Developers.

Complete with spa, nightclub, pool, gym and 24-hour restaurant, this urban resort in the heart of glamorous New York City is the perfect retreat from the lingering and mundane Ohio winters.
