Now more than ever do passionate artists and musicians have an opportunity to get their music into the ears of a larger audience. YouTube has led to the discovery of a handful of artists that were at one point just teenage kids recording and uploading videos to a website. They grew from average to all star in a matter of months. And for LGBT singers, bands, and songwriters facing a predominantly straight mainstream music scene, YouTube is the perfect place to latch onto dedicated followers for support in their journey to the top. However, some YouTubers may not be desperate for the overwhelming fame that comes with being “discovered” and are instead enjoying what it is they love most: spreading love through music.

Jenna Anne, known on YouTube as JennaAnne1026, is a lesbian singer/songerwriter from Northern California. With an overall upload view count of over 1.2 million, Jenna Anne pairs her friendly, hilarious, and compassionate personality with a beautiful musical talent to spread a message of love.

With the tagline “Live. Love. Sing” greeting us in her YouTube profile, Jenna Anne is doing just that. Her videos include original songs as well as covers of a variety of different hits including “Wonderwall”, “Like A G6”,  “I Want To Hold Your Hand”, “Bad Romance”, and “Break Even”. No matter the song, this 18-year-old artist has a way of making you feel like she’s singing just to you. Her unique vocal style is strong, but welcoming, and her down to earth personality will keep you coming back for the latest video.

Since 2008, Jenna Anne’s voice has captivated over 14,000 channel subscribers and with that, she created a second YouTube channel, LesbianAnswers, in May of 2010. The channel serves as a sort of advice page in which she both seriously and humorously answers and gives advice to her YouTube, Tumblr, and Formspring followers and serves as yet another place where members of the LGBT community can feel love and acceptance.
