'Rent' Actor to Speak at KIVA Today

Anthony Rapp, famous for playing Mark Cohen in the movie adaptation of “Rent,” will hold a lecture at 5 p.m., today in the KIVA, as well as sign copies of his 2006 autobiography, “Without You: A Memoir of Love, Loss and the Musical ‘Rent.'”

In his autobiography, Rapp explains the struggle he faced when came out over the phone to his mother as bisexual. He was 18-years-old at the time.

Outside of acting in “Rent,” Rapp has held roles in other well-known productions like “Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit,” “A Beautiful Mind” and “The X-Files.”
